The guitarist strums out big, chiming chords like a shoegaze band from hell. The drummer, hoping to remind him that this is a metal band, pummels away at his kit. The singer, sounding like she’s stuck in a watery cave thousands of feet below them, lets loose tortured shrieks that seem completely unmoored rhythmically from what the other two are doing. Then there’s a trumpet! Truly excellent stuff.
